The pregnant country vocalist, who’s expecting her first child with wife Mike Fisher, says she’s incorporate dairy back into her system until her kid is born.
“I have been vegan for about 10 years now,” she told Yahoo! Beauty’s editor-in-chief, composition maven Bobbi Brown. “With pregnancy, I am certainly going more on the lacto-vegetarian side.”

But don’t anticipate the ‘American Idol’ alum to indulge on cheese and milk for the rest of her life.
"As soon as I am not expectant anymore, I will go back to being vegetarian,” she said. “I don't think I am craving anything too passionate. I try to keep it as healthy as probable and try to take care of myself. And you know, put good things in!"
Carrie and Mike announce their big baby news on Instagram back in September — more than four time after they tied the loop. They’re expecting a child in spring 2015.
